FUTURE PROJECTS

Building Construction: Estimated Cost: $5000
When we were in Liberia in 2005, Mother Wleh had only one wish. It was not money or food or clothes. It was a wish to have a Church built on the land. The nearest church is too far for the children to walk so they have been unable to attend church in a building. This has been on her heart for years. With your help, MJA can construct a Church that can serve not only one but two purposes. The building will be used as a school house during the week and a church on Sundays.
Playground Project: Estimated Cost: $1000
Many missionaries and friends have visited the Mother Wleh orphanage and we have all noticed the same thing. The children have nowhere to play but in the dirt. Sure this is not a necessity but as a parent or guardian you would like to see your children have a safe place to play and live. Once the building and Shelter renovations are complete, it is our goal to create a safe playground environment for not only the children of the orphanage but also the community children that are often at the orphanage to play.
Shelter Renovation: Estimated Cost: $2,320.00 COMPLETED 1/09

Like any orphanage that barely has money to feed its children, you can only imagine what the living environment is like. There are not enough beds, mosquito nets, or storage area for the children. When we deliver anything that comes in boxes, the children run to collect the boxes as if they were gold. The floors are cold cement and the whole house is leaking. The doors are not good, the windows frames are badly shaking. The most terrible thing right now is the wave of armrobbery  that sometimes goes on. In order to keep the home safe, we want to install steel doors to protect the home.

God has placed it on our hearts to renovate and upgrade their poor living environment. We intend to purchase a few new beds, paint, new roofing, new flooring, storage units for each child and perhaps some posters for their walls.
